GStreamer | gst-python | Ver: HEAD CVS
Summary: API break
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: blocker
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-python
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: thaytan at mad.scientist.com
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
GNOME version: Unspecified
GNOME milestone: Unspecified
This commit broke API that was in the 0.10.5 gst-python release:
http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-python/gst/gst.defs?r1=1.129&r2=1.130
It renames the API functions gst_message_new_buffering and
gst_parse_bin_from_description to remove the gst_ prefix
Andy suggested adding a deprecation warning and automatic redirect into
__init__.py for the old method names.
