I had a look at the appsrc: There is a GQueue in it which fills up
without limits because buffers arrive faster (audiotestsrc) than they
are processed (alsasink).

There is a GstQueue plugin in GStreamer. I don't know how, but I feel
that this element should be used instead of the built-in GQueue in
GstAppSrc.
