This doesn't look like it is from one week ago. alsaspdifsink's rank has been
set to NONE about 5-6 weeks ago in -bad CVS.

According to the log file, the (mtime) timestamp of the loaded
libgstalsaspdif.so is from February 1st, 2007.

Maybe jhbuild stopped compiling/updating gst-plugins-bad for some reason?

totem uses gconfaudiosink as well (albeit with the music/video profile).
