This seems to be a GStreamer issue. Moving there.

If it is reproducible, can you please get us a stack trace with debugging
symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on
how to do so. Thanks in advance!

I'm sure the GStreamer guys will be interested in what version of gstreamer and
the various plugin packages (especially -base) you're using. Presumably,
they'll also ask for a debug log, but they know better than I.
