I don't know the actual solution off the top of my head.  I don't write
assembly code in that manner, since I know it's intrinsicly buggy.  I was
merely pointing the next person who looks at the bug to the right location and
solution, if they happened to have the skills to fix it.  That person may be a
future me, even.
