I get the same problem, except that it also complains about undefined
references to _gettimeofday, which doesn't seem to be provided by libiberty.
Linking against libiberty only fixes the _random and _srandom missing
references for me.

The workaround I used to fix this is to comment out the tests in
gst-libs/ext/ffmpeg/libavcodec/Makefile.am
