I am working off a Toshiba satellite with Ubuntu 7.10a. The forums all point to
problems with sound and Toshiba laptops. Still, when I go to sound preferences
and seek to test the ALSA architecture for 'Audio Conferencing' Sound Capture,
I receive the following:
gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat:
Internal GStreamer error: state change failed. Please file a bug at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer.
Sound playback gives:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink
profile=chat: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.
Music and Movies-Sound Playback gives:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink
profile=music: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.
Sound events-sound playback gives:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample !
gconfaudiosink: Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.
