Hard to say what's going on here with the information provided.

Could you install the debug packages for gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly/libgstmad
and libgstid3tag?

Could you make a debug log (GST_DEBUG=*:5 whateverapp 2>dbg.log) and attach it
here, bzip2'ed?

PS: you should use id3v2mux.
