I'm not sure I can point to the one patch that breaks/fixes it.

The timestamps and synchronisation were defined and fixed all over the map.
This required fixes to basesrc, udpsrc, rtpmanager and the payloader. That's
-core, -base, -good and -bad. Not having proper support for it in one of the
modules could easily break things. 

Can we assume it's not a problem when you use all modules with proper support?
