Hi,
the attached patch fixes the build on FreeBSD and other systems where GNU make
is called different than make, i.e. gmake.

Before, if called with "gmake" those Makefiles would still call make, now they
call "gmake" or whatever they were called with.

This change is pretty trivial and would be nice to have in for the next
release.
