Please describe the problem:
No sound whatsoever after installation of PCLOS 2008 Gnome Edition.
However sound did work *during* the installation process.

Relevant content of Message Window:
audiotest src wave-sine freq=512! audioconvert! audioresample! gconfaudiosink;
Internal GStreamer error: state change failed.

Previous version of PCLOS (2007 Gnome Edition) worked!

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install PCLOS 2008 using previous partitions but only formatting the root
partition. 
2. Re-installing PCLOS 2008 using previous partitions and formatting both the
root partition and /home.
3. ---


Actual results:
Exactly the same happens both times - see above.

Does this happen every time?

Have none! Am a frustrated beginner. %-\
