Yes of course, but a crasher always takes down the whole process.

Since we can't possibly figure out what went wrong and the problem disappeared,
I'm closing this bug.

Next time you encounter something like this, you can obtain the backtrace right
away while you still experience the problem.  There are general instructions on
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces.  Some distributions also have support for
using bug buddy/apport/whatever to automatically collect this information and
send it to a server.
