  GStreamer | gst-plugins-bad | Ver: 0.10.9
Summary: cross-configuring interrupts due to a failing check for
                    "OpenSSL directory"
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: 0.10.9
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-bad
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
        ReportedBy: andreas.frisch at multimedia-labs.de
         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
     GNOME version: Unspecified
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

Please describe the problem:
when switching to version 0.10.9, cross-configuring with OpenEmbedded fails due
to a failing check for OpenSSL directory. Error message below, config.log
following.

Steps to reproduce:
1. used bitbake package (correspponds to an ebuild file) from version 0.10.8
2. reversioned it to 0.10.9
3. ran bitbake gst-plugins-good

Actual results:
checking for OpenSSL directory... configure: error: cannot run test program
while cross compiling

Expected results:
i'd expect the checking to be cross-compile proof

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
maybe use AC_TRY_COMPILE in configure instead?
