- OS is Fedora 12 x86_64 on Phenom X3 720 BE.
- Haven't tried the soft link trick yet.  The "software manager" claims 0.3.16
is installed, but find doesn't reveal any .so with that version number:

- Code is a fresh anon pull from git using the "Build using git" instructions
on the gstreamer/freedesktop site.  It says to run autogen.sh from each
directory, so I'm doing that to them all prior to running make in any
directory.

- Softlink trick did not work.  Looking at autogen/config files.
