I don't have a windows system on which I can test this - however, I rewrote the
error reporting recently so that on windows, it should give you the correct
error in the debug output - instead of just "No error".

If you can re-test with that, maybe it'll provide enough hints for us to figure
out the correct _fix_ for this.
