4) you would need to call "gstreamer-properties", go to video tab and select
ximagesink instead of auto there. I hope you have that application. Selecting
that automaticaly for you should work in theory. I'll have a look at it.
5) if you do
GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 GST_DEBUG=*:5 totem 2>dbg.log
you get a plain ascii log. yours has ansi color codes for the terminal.
6) try on ubuntu forum or the ubuntu bug tracker. if you get the xvideo issues
sorted the above things should just work fine.
