  GStreamer | gst-plugins-bad | Ver: git
           Summary: metadatamux fails^WIS failure
           Product: GStreamer
           Version: git
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Normal
         Component: gst-plugins-bad
        AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
        ReportedBy: bilboed at gmail.com
         QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
     GNOME version: Unspecified
   GNOME milestone: Unspecified

The metadata unit tests are failing....

After looking a bit deeper at this, the problem is with the following pipeline:
gst-launch-0.10 videotestsrc num-buffers=1 ! jpegenc ! metadatamux ! fakesink

It will fail because... the (perfectly valid) jpeg buffer given to metadatamux
doesn't contain a 'APP0' marker (0xFFE0), which is
Even worse, it will fail if there is an 'APP0' marker but it's not just after
the SOI (Start Of Image 0xFFD8) marker.

metadatamux should (1) parse the buffer to figure out where the APP0 marker is
and (2) if not present create one.
