GStreamer | gst-plugins-good | Ver: git
Summary: [multipartdemux] Segmentation fault on empty content
Product: GStreamer
Version: git
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins-good
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: arnout at mind.be
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
CC: arnout at mind.be
GNOME version: Unspecified
GNOME milestone: Unspecified
multipartdemux causes a segmentation fault when the content is empty.
Trigger with
gst-launch fakesrc ! image/jpeg ! multipartmux ! multipartdemux ! fakesink
The cause is that it tries to take a zero-sized buffer from the adapter.
I'll provide a patch that skips empty content parts. Perhaps an empty buffer
should be pushed instead, but that doesn't seem very convenient.
