I tested it with vlc and get a similar problem. So it is probably the XV bug
you're referring to. However, that option is a gstreamer option which will fix
it for gstreamer apps. I don't understand gstreamer through and through, so I
assumed it was gstreamer bug. Either way I hope the problem is resolved.
