Finally tried the script:
Playing of file: /home/ensonic/Musik/klingon.mp3
Tag    cpu [s]    cpu [%]
mplayer_      1.2      0.0
playbin2a      2.4      0.0
playbin2b      1.6      0.0

playbin2b is:
gst-launch-0.10 -q --gst-disable-registry-update filesrc location=%s ! mpg123 !
alsasink

mpg123 is from http://gst.homeunix.net/
I'll try to add the plugin to gst-plugin-bad in the next days if the author
agrees.
