Summary: totem crashes when tries to play *split dvds*
Classification: Desktop
Product: GStreamer
Version: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins-bad
AssignedTo: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: mehmet at giritli.eu
QAContact: gstreamer-bugs at lists.sourceforge.net
GNOME target: ---
GNOME version: ---
There are programs, like DVDFab, that are able to split a 8.5GB dvd into two
4.7GB dvds and keep everything in tact, like menus and extra parts in a dvd.
In DVDFab, when watching a DVD that is split in 2 Discs, at the end of the 1st
disc and therefor the middle of the movie, you'll get a still image saying
"insert disc 2". On a dvd deck unit, after you insert the 2nd disc, the movie
will continue from where you left it, without any menus reappearing, as if you
only paused the movie a while ago.
However, in totem:
1. You don't get the still picture saying insert disc 2, but the last frame
image is just frozen on your screen, but no crashes;
2. When you insert disc 2, totem will crash.
I figured since it works on all different DVD deck units I test this, it must
be some missing pieces in resindvd and co?
