I have the GStreamer developer's ppa as a software source on ubuntu 10.04.
Recently, I've had the following error:

python: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol:
gst_pad_link_check_get_type

at which point I'm dropped back to a command-line. This affects any application
that uses gst-python.
