I recently built a new computer and I'm still having this same problem using
apps that use GStreamer. My new motherboard is an ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO. I have a
Phenom II X4 955 processor.

Running aplay -l gives the following:

**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 0: VT1708S Analog [VT1708S Analog]
  Subdevices: 2/2
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
  Subdevice #1: subdevice #1
card 0: SB [HDA ATI SB], device 1: VT1708S Digital [VT1708S Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I hope this issue gets fixed soon. It's been around for quite a long time and
I'm sure I'm not the only person experiencing it considering I built a
completely new PC and still have the same problem.
