It does seems like related bug ... when I turn off subtitles it does not crash
(and it is a matroska file).  

I will see if I can upload the movie somewhere, but it is a very large file and
I have a very limited amount of bandwidth.  I'll see if I can find a way to
clip the movie while keeping the subtitles and bug.
