etc., you said it was hard to fix in 0.10, but that it would be a lot easier in
0.11/1.0

 and tags are events
 and you can query what events are stuck on pads ...

then identify streams
 then you'd be able to identify a pad corresponding to a certain stream
 even if that pad is several elements down the road
