gst-ffmpeg is my best guess.  gstreamer is Ubuntu up to date, up to 0.10.28
with certain packages <28.
Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04, now with late updates, e.g. Totem is no
longer able to play flv video.
Plugin search  says it cannot find   Flash demuxer.
Other programs like Gnome Mplayer or Mplayer, presumably using ffmpeg, play flv
OK.

Something funny must have happened during the 10.04 upgrade.
But I've spent hours browsing discussions everywhere in vain.
What do I have to inspect to debug this mystery?
