Fixed for me. I had this same issue on both Fedora 15 and Ubuntu 11.04--I'm the
one who reported the bug at kernel.org. Using gstreamer-plugins-good from git,
which includes the above patch, it works fine.

Obviously it should still be fixed in v4l once someone figures out what exactly
is going on. But for now, it's great to have a workaround for all the gstreamer
clients. Thanks!
