Unfortunately not, we ended up not using alsa sources nor sinks in pipelines
having a firewire source element. One possible solution which we briefly
discussed with David at the gst conference would be to add a property which
enables or disables the use of hardware-based clocking; if disabled, it would
use the former method for dv clocking (i.e. software clocking).
