I don't really see the point in keeping this bug open. It's too generic to be
useful, and covers too many different things IMHO.

GPU-accelerated video decoding/encoding is probably best handled using
va-api/vdpau etc.

Shaders for image manipulation / gst-plugins-gl need re-thinking for 0.11/1.0.
If anyone wants to do so, now might be a good time. If this bug helps with that
or not, I don't know.
