However, mms://152.39.4.59/WSHA?MSWMExt=.asf does work.

Looks much more bug #611105, i.e. usual problem of deciding what protocol to go
for (mms, rtsp) when dealing with "MMS streaming", but it definitely is not
http.

Solution so far is for playlist level parsers to be aware and replace http://
by at least mms:// or rtsp:// or whatever.
