Reynaldo was at some point working on something akin to the blending
functionality that's now in libgstvideo as part of the
GstVideoOverlayComposition API. I believe the overlay branch is the xsub
element plus an experimental prototype of such an API.

The element should be ported to the now-existing API for that ideally.
