I suspect this is a duplicate of bug #684538, but I can't be bothered to check.

Please try to either provide instructions on how to reproduce it with e.g.
-base/tests/examples/playback/playback or at least provide a minimal python
test case that just takes some command line arguments, but doesn't require any
editing etc.

Please re-open if it still happens with git or 1.0.1
