Had not noticed this before, but should now be fixed with:

identity: also track and store segment info in single segment mode
This basically comes down to the supplied patch, except for manipulating the
segment.base, which should not be needed since the upstream segment sender is
supposed to manage base so as to have proper (global) running time (as used to
sync to the clock etc downstream).
