We too tried with the patch that you gave. Doesnt seem to work. Still hangs
whenever there is a clock skew!

This has been a long pending bug and quite a number of people are seeing issues
when you run your application for a long time :( I tried figuring our the code
and adding my fix but then couldn't quite understand the code :(
