Already done. same result.

But this was more than one year ago, with linux 2.6 kernel, gstreamer 0.10 etc.
Before retrying I want to be sure to do the maximum I can with my currently
"out of order pipeline" (still running but silently). ;)

Already done, with two cases :

* Stereo interface (the more common on the market), usage of "channels=1" means
sound is physically recorded on both channels but Gstreamer uses only one
channel.

* Multiple and independent channels interface (like the Juli@ XTE
http://www.esi-audio.com/products/juliaxte/ ), usage of "channels=1" means
sound is physically recorded only on the first channel.

Same result in both cases.

This tests was done more recently (one month or two).

Because I have near me an "out of order pipeline" (seems running well but
silently) which is hard to get and precious, if you have some manipulation to
do on it (without killing it) do not hesitate to suggest. :)
