Sorry, I know it's been a while, but I don't think I understand how this is
supposed to be used and how it works. Could you elaborate what you're trying to
do with this? It looks like nothing is written to file at all if limit=0 (i.e.
by default)? Also, any chance you could update the patch against git
master/1.0?
