I'm very much against adding back the "always-copy" property to v4l2src, it was
a hack that really only worked in very specific pipelines.

I would guess you may be hitting the situation described in bug #628770 comment
#22. That said, if we don't get #682770 fixed before 1.2.x, I suggest just
having the equivalent of always-copy=true always on until that bug is fixed
(ie, possibly applying your current patch as-is with a big "FIXME" in there).
