I doubt you folks would use this particular tech, but just for the record: it
seems that Nautilus, in nautilus-thumbnails.c, calls
"gnome_desktop_thumbnail_factory_generate_thumbnail" which means it's
offloading that work to the libgnome-desktop library, which would be
