I tried to play a .m3u8 file (
http://nl1-hls.tv.delta.nl/live/nl1/hls/stream7.m3u8) with relative urls in it
and totem fails to play them.

The same provider has a stream with absolute urls in it and that works fine: 
http://rtl5-hls.tv.delta.nl/live/rtl5/hls/stream8.m3u8

I've attached the message log from totem.
