JACK sink with sync=false is behaving like I would expect.  No samples are
being thrown away if they are late, every sample is being played regardless and
the pipeline has backing up at JACK source because it is not being consumed at
a satisfactory rate by JACK sink.  Now, with JACK sink with sync=true behavior
is also correct in that it is dropping samples that arrive last and continuing
on without backing up the pipeline at JACK source.  alsasink is behaving rather
odd though with sync=true relative to JACK sink which is behaving correctly
with sync=true.
