Either on my laptop with GLESv2 or on RPI, I cannot find a pipeline where
glcolorscale works.

Ex:

gst-launch-1.0 videotestsrc ! glcolorscale ! ximagesink

gst-launch-1.0 videotestsrc ! glcolorscale ! 
"video/x-raw(meta:GstVideoGLTextureUploadMeta)" ! glimagesink

For the download part I'm not sure it's implemented (should return a failure in
this case instead of black frame), but at least glcolorscale ! glimagesink
should work

I have not tried on big GL.
