Thanks for your report.

I can not use you script here, I am getting:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "glvideomixer-bug-exampe.py", line 41, in pad_added
    mediatype = pad.get_current_caps().to_string().split(',')[0]
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'to_string'

I have tested seeking with glvideomixer doing:

gst-validate-1.0 uridecodebin uri=file:///home/thiblahute/Videos/tron.webm !
queue ! glvideomixer ! videorate ! xvimagesink --set-scenario
scrub_forward_seeking

and it does work here.
