You misunderstood me, sorry.

gst_element_release_request_pad(tq, srcpad) →
gst_tq_release_request_pad(tq, srcpad) →
gst_pad_add_probe(tee_srcpad, ...)

So the application only knows about tq and its srcpads. And you internally do
that.
