What's sure is that I have none of the issues in sync=false on the sink.

Also, when I have issues, I never get the following logs in debug mode
(--gst-debug=audiosink:7,ringbuffer:7):

gst-plugins-base/gst-libs/gst/audio/gstaudioringbuffer.c:1300:wait_segment:<audiosinkringbuffer0>
waiting..
gst-plugins-base/gst-libs/gst/audio/gstaudioringbuffer.c:1871:gst_audio_ring_buffer_advance:<audiosinkringbuffer0>
signal waiter

But I always get them (repeatedly) when this works correctly (most of the
time).

So I think I might have a thread synchronization issue in the ringbuffer in
sync=true.
