I'm on gentoo and they haven't got anything newer than 1.2.3 yet.
I have fedora rawhide on another partition and can try it there, too.

Btw, i noticed that I get

Using /usr/lib64/tracker-1.0/extract-modules/libextract-gif.so...
No extractor or failed

where you see

Using /opt/gnome/lib64/tracker-1.0/extract-modules/libextract-gif.so...
