Depending on the stack and the state of ram, we see different weirdness. But
generally speeking, it fails everywhere.

To reproduce, that give weird result with mesa GLES2:

GST_GL_API=gles2 gst-launch-1.0 videotestsrc ! video/x-raw,format=YUY2 !
glimagesink

On MALI GLES2, I started seeing this error with git master:
