It seems that we are getting unknown behaviour only when we are using packed
bitstream in avi xvid files.

When xvid uses unpacked bitstream everything plays normaly using mpeg4 ioctl
for hardware drivers. 

When xvid uses packed bitstream we need to use xvid ioctl for hardware drivers. 

So most probably a flag indicating if bitstream is packed or unpacked would be
helpful (and most probably will solve the problem).
