And thanks for those patches! I will try to keep reviewing the remaining one
soon (no courage right now! :))

Also, it would be very nice if you could also run the gst-validate testsuite
for GES.

For that you will just need to run:

$ gst-validate-launcher ges --sync

I tried yesterday and we can see that this patchset introduces regressions in
that testsuite.

(Also you will need to get latest gst-uninstalled, I just pushed a patch to
make sure the GES testsuite is avalaible by default in that env)
