I wonder if we should just add a series of new "transforms" to meta, something
like a TRANSFORM_ENCODE, TRANSFORM_DECODER and TRANFORM_ADPATER. The last one
is particularly useful for metas to survive their trip through parsers, for
example, in GstVaapi... everything goes through the parse functions, that would
let the metas through.
