Repro:
gst-launch-1.0 audiotestsrc ! audio/x-raw,format="S16LE" ! audioconvert !
audiopanorama ! autoaudiosink

with longer pipelines more harsh-electro noise \o/
gst-launch-1.0 audiotestsrc ! audio/x-raw,format="S16LE" ! audioconvert !
